About Florence Eiseman
Florence Eiseman clothes are elegant and honest- because they're made that way. Our designs never skimp, and use only the best materials to create exquisite clothing for girls and boys.
Florence Eiseman garments are always designed just for children, with clean lines and practical details. We highlight children's natural beauty using eye- catching colors and whimsical appliques.
"Children should look like children," Florence said. "You should see the child first, and not the clothes."
Florence Eiseman turned a hobby into a business in 1945. Her dedication to quality resulted in instantly recognizable creations. The first order was filled with handmade garments sewn by women in their homes- the beginning of a legendary children’s brand.
Florence Eiseman was the first designer to bring fashion to children's clothing, introducing a new line each season, and the first ever to be featured in a major retrospective by an art museum. Florence never boasted that her clothes were beloved by children of royalty, leaders and luminaries. She would only say, "We have a lot of notables."
Ten years on, Florence won the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award, the first ever children’s designer to win the prestigious award, placing her in the company of style icons such as Christian Dior, Coco Chanel and Princess Grace of Monaco.
Teri Larson began her career working closely with Mrs. Eiseman, mastering the unique challenges of designing for children. Larson has nurtured the vision of the Florence Eiseman brand for more than 45 years.
